I built MadeiraVacationHomes.com as a fast, lightweight website to showcase a vacation rental property in Madeira. The goal was to create a clean and modern site that presents property details clearly, loads quickly, and works well across all devices. The website focuses on simplicity and usability, highlighting key information such as property features, imagery, and contact details without unnecessary complexity.
For this project, I chose Astro JS because of its performance-first approach and static site generation capabilities. Astro allowed me to ship minimal JavaScript while keeping the codebase clean and easy to maintain.
I deployed the site to Netlify, which integrates seamlessly with Astro. The project is connected to a Git repository, enabling continuous deployment.Netlify’s global CDN ensures fast load times for visitors, regardless of location, and the setup requires very little ongoing maintenance.
The final website is fast, modern, and easy to navigate, providing a smooth experience for users. Using Astro JS and Netlify allowed me to deliver a performant, maintainable solution that meets both user and business needs.
